Have you found an item that you'd like to buy/bid on? New to ebay® and not sure what to do next? Then you've come to the right place!
Here's the basics of how it works:
Register for an account:
You'll need to register for an ebay® account, if you don't already have one. To register, just click on the white banner to the right.
Bidding & Buying:
Merchandise is sold via auction or Buy It Now. Shown next to each item is the current number of bids (if any), the current bid (or starting amount), and the amount of time remaining in the auction. If there is a Buy It Now price, you can skip the auction process and 'buy it now' for the price shown.
When bidding, you'll enter an intial bid as well as a maximum bid. YOU determine the maximum amount that you're willing to pay. If you're outbid by someone else, ebay® will automatically increase your bid amount(in pre-set increments) on your behalf, but only up to the maximum amount you chose.
If you're the winning bidder, you'll be notified at the end of the auction!

Payment:
Within each item listing, the seller will list the forms of payment they accept. Please pay attention to this BEFORE bidding.
PayPal®(
):
You should sign up for a PayPal® account, if you don't already have one. Using PayPal® is a safer and easier way to pay, as well as offering you buyer protection. Note: PayPal® is not just exclusive to ebay®- many other online merchants use it as well. For more information and to register for PayPal®, please go to: https://www.paypal.com/.
